In order to accomplish our objectives we hold campaigns, distribute information often with the help of the media, cooperate with representatives of the authorities, hold events that address to animal protection issues, give assistance to shelters for homeless animals etc.

ESPA monitors that the laws concerning animal welfare are properly observed and if necessary makes proposals to improve the relevant laws or decrees. ESPA also cooperates with foreign organisations of similar orientation.

The Society relies only on volunteers to accomplish its objectives. There are up to 10 volunteers doing the every-day work of the Society next to their permanent jobs. The work of the Society is divided into several different projects. There are 6 projects in process at the moment: shelters, information provision, foster homes for homeless animals, education and training, legislation, supervision.
